This Dual Monitor Arm Will Boost Your Productivity

I have an office desk at home for when I need to work. Ever since the lockdown back in 2020, I had a single 27" monitor + my office laptop. The 27" monitor with the stand already occupies a large part of the desk. Also, the monitor stand is not high enough for my laptop's monitor to be at a comfortable angle. These factors made me hold off from getting another monitor. In my mind, it would not fit and would be horrible to set up. Just imagine plugging all the cables at the back.

Then I thought of getting a dual monitor mount to solve this problem. After much research, and watching youtube videos of monitor arm reviews, and installation tutorials, I finally decided to get the North Bayou H180.

It was relatively easy to setup. The VESA mounts on the monitors were also very easy to attach. And using the C-clamp to secure the pole mount to the table was also very easy.

I attached two 27" monitors to the mounts, and it was very easy to move, swivel and tilt the monitors to the whatever position you want.

The only hard part was loosening the arms so that the monitors stay at the preferred height.

Connecting the cables to the monitors has become trivial. Simply swivel the monitors for easy access to the ports at the back. Then simply move them back to the position you want.

Having that 2nd monitor really boosted my productivity. Plus, the laptop screen is now at a comfortable tilt, and the monitors are at the perfect height. This also freed the part of the table that used to contain the monitor stands. I was able to push the laptop right in the middle of the table. This freed up some needed wrist space in the front. I no longer notice the hours during long coding sessions since I no longer get shoulder/back fatigue.

I actually bought 2 sets of North Bayou H180. The second one will be for my other desktop setup. But that will be for another time.
