The controller adds some thoughtful refinements to the previous generation Ultimate without costing more. I really enjoy how the TMR thumbsticks feel. The adjustable triggers are lifesaver for tired hands. The new D-pad feel way more responsive, and the shoulder buttons are more responsive. Adding that extra shoulder button I also felt was a nice touch since the back paddle buttons are easy to press accidentally. The RGB lighting is distracting and I personally turned it off to save battery, but I'm sure many will enjoy it. Future-proofing the dongle with USB-C was a smart idea, and those who don't have an open USB-C port can still use it by plugging the charging dock (with USB-C inserted) into their computer.
There are only two minor downsides. One, the 8BitDo software is terrible, but aside from firmware updates, you only need it if you require heavy customization. Two, they moved up the Start and Select buttons in favor of the customization buttons, which I feel wasn't the best decision--though I can see the logic.
Overall though, this is an excellent controller for a great price. The TMR thumbsticks, Hall sensor triggers, and wired mode mean that it could possibly last a lifetime. 8BitDo knocks it out of the park again.
Pro tip: buy the Ultimate 2 Wireless only if you never intend to use it with a Nintendo Switch. The Bluetooth Ultimate 2 version is for Switch owners with the Switch layout, but having owned the previous Bluetooth version, this got confusing and occasionally required switching controller configurations on my Steam Deck.
Very sturdy and comfy controller. I like how the triggers have a switch where you can swap between normal and HALL. Buttons are not clicky at all

I was so shocked at first that DataBlitz E-commerce offered a CoD option. And as a fan of 8bitdo's Controllers, once I saw the availability in our country, I automatically ordered it. The controllers new features are amazing and comparing to the 8bitdo Ultimate wireless it is indeed a well improvement. More fun games to play with this new controller.
