My first mini laptop from GPD and this thing just blazes through whatever task I give, the only problem is this definitely needs a 32 Gb RAM option as the 8Gb in 16Gb model is already reserved for VRAM, you can adjust it to 4Gb through the bios, but you need to update it first to the latest version, as the shipped bios is outdated and the option for changing VRAM is not working.
Compare to known laptop brands I tried, there's some tinkering I did to fix some bugs. First is that on boot there are only 2 resolutions showing in display options, to fix this you need to download a bat file from GPD website, which is kinda sus since once you open that file, windows defender will go crazy that you need to turn it off just to run the fix. Also the motion assistant is getting flagged as a trojan by windows defender. It isn't smooth sailing as I hoped to be, but still worth it due to the performance I get with this very small package. This thing can play Wuwa 1080p 60fps at 30W.
its fast...its as big as my ipad mini 5...the only problem is that the screen is a bit tilted but I could tolerate it cause a bit of tilt aint hurting anybody because its a damn fine machine ....speed, portability, windows 11, every port Id ever need at the office ...its fuckin perfect
