Life changing for ADHDers and night shifters!

More than just an alarm clock with fancy sounds, the Alarmo has really been a game changer for someone like me: a night shift worker with ADHD.

Okay so beyond the novelty of this device and the dopamine hits deliversd by the Nintendo sounds, the alarm function is really top notch because ot the body sensor. The alarms really persist so if you snooze it or don't get up, it's going to get angrier and louder, which is really helpful because I work night shifts and can't afford to miss alarms. Meanwhile, the sleepy sounds help me sleep during the day (faves are the Zelda campfire and Pikmin chirps, but the Super Mario one is like a lullaby and also relaxing).

The hourly chimes are a great function and help to address time blindness. It's almost like a modern cuckoo clock that makes short sounds to count the hour, and acts like an automatic pomodoro timer, or just a reminder for yourself to stand, walk, get a drink, take a break.

So it acts more like a non-wearable smartwatch than a simple alarm clock, and since it connects online, there are more themes to come. Can't wait for the Animal Crossing one!

One of the cons though, to be real, is that I didn't know it always needs to be plugged in, meaning you can't just plonk it anywhere. And it doesn't come with a wall charger.

Also, the sleep reports can be messed up if you have a partner in the bed or cats. The button mode where you have to get up and press the button instead of relying on the sensors to turn the alarm off is a great workaround, but not as much fun.

Otherwise though, I think it's worth the price! It's got a markup compared to buying straight from Nintendo, but at least you can pay in installments, and the same-day delivery for online orders is legit.
