The RK L98 features a left-handed (southpaw) layout, designed specifically for left-handers but also appreciated by right-handed users for its ergonomic benefits. By shifting the numeric keypad to the left side, it frees up space on the right, making it easier to use the mouse and numeric pad simultaneously. Its gasket structure with PBT keycaps delivers a premium typing feel with soft, cushioned strokes and reduced vibration, while the durable, oil-resistant Cherry Profile PBT keycaps enhance comfort for both work and gaming.
To further improve the typing experience, the keyboard is built with five sound-absorbing layers: two layers of thick sound-absorbing foam, an IXPE switch pad, a silicone damper, and a PET sound-enhancement film. This design greatly reduces hollow sounds and cavity noise, ensuring a smooth and satisfying keystroke.
The RK L98 also offers seamless tri-mode connectivity, allowing you to switch effortlessly between 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-C cable connections. It supports multi-device pairing and features south-facing RGB lighting for vivid fluoroscopic effects. Powering all of this is a massive 8000mAh battery, capable of delivering up to 310 hours of use with the RGB lighting off or 51 hours with it on. Battery status can be checked with a simple FN + Enter command, and a full charge takes around 16 hours.
For customization, the RK L98 is a hot-swappable keyboard with support for both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. Users can choose from pre-greased RK Linear Cream switches for smooth keystrokes, Tactile Beige switches for responsive feedback, or Silent Switches for an ultra-quiet experience, making it easy to create a personalized setup tailored to your needs.
