All Around 10/10

I've had this monitor for 10 days upon writing this review. Here's my take:

Pros:

Upgraded from 1080p and can definitely say that this monitor is worth it. I mostly played League of Legends, Valorant and Destiny 2 during the 10 days that I've had this. Switching from 144hz to 240hz, I can definitely see a bit of change in clarity and motion handling especially with ELMB Sync on. Even with ELMB Sync off, there was no noticeable smearing or ghosting so that's definitely the least of your worries.

Colors are superb, although it does needs a bit of calibration out of the box. I never touched the setting again once I was able to find a profile that I was comfortable with. I Installed an HEVC extension on my PC and I had 2K resolution running on Netflix and this monitor was quite an experience to watch on.

Cons:

The HDR is barely there but you shouldn't really be buying this monitor for that. I also found it a bit odd that some settings are locked when you select a specific GameVisual setting. For example, you can't change the saturation on the Racing Mode setting on the OSD. Another thing is that my unit tends to freeze all black when switching to full screen gameplay, changing the refresh rate, and booting up the PC. It's honestly just a small inconvenience for me but maybe a deal breaker for some others.

Verdict:

Looking for a 1440p 240hz monitor? Definitely get this. Color and images are better here than the Lenovo Y27GQ. There are far more features available compared to the HP Omen 27QS. Also, it's available, meaning you can definitely get it here in the Philippines without the almost-doubled price hike due to the shipping and import fees that you'll be dealing with if you order out of country.
